Another year at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival with the addition of the outdoor Mary Rippon Theatre. I welded the very large legs/walls that the platforms sat on. This scenic design and construction was also used in the company's production of Shakespeare in Love by Lee Hall.

For this production of Julius Caesar, I worked mainly on the large staircases that spanned the downstage edge of the main platform. Because of the large span, these separate steps and the smooth paint treatment that was going to be used needed to come together nicely with minimal seams. This set was also used in the company's production of Friends, Romans, Countrymen by David Davalos.
